A year ago, Google officially unveiled Google Glass. Since then, the company has released a very limited number of devices to developers. The devices it released were an early version of Google Glass Explorer for testing purposes. But next week, Google Glass is coming to the US market. For one day only.

In a post on the official Google+ page , the Glass team revealed that on Tuesday, April 15th, anyone in the US can sign up to buy an Explorer version of the product. The price will still be $1,500, plus tax. The price, while quite steep, won't stop many who want to get their hands on one. The company's post says the glasses will be sold at limited locations but didn't give any further details. Needless to say, we'll probably see the same rush we've seen from Apple when it releases a new iPhone. Google said it plans to release a new version of Glass to consumers sometime before the end of 2014, without mentioning anything about the price of the upcoming product.
