The updated version 2.9.1.0 of the Bing Translator is now available for download for Windows Phone owners.
The new version of the application 2.9.1.0, which came out about six weeks after the release of the previous version of Bing Translator 2.9, came with a new design with elongated tiles, as well as offline translations in a few more languages, including Polish and Turkish.
Additionally, the new update was released with support for camera translation for Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, and Turkish, as well as online translation of Maltese and Welsh.
Bing Translator is a very good translation tool for mobile phones since it also includes a camera translation function. This allows you to display your surroundings on the mobile screen and it will immediately translate any foreign word it perceives (a sign, for example). The same function can be done by voice (if you say a foreign word to it, it will translate it for you) or through written text. An excellent application when you are in a foreign country and are trying to guess what the signs on a street say.
“You can use Bing Translator on-the-go, even when you don’t have an Internet connection. The app also gives users the ability to easily improve their vocabulary by pinning the word of the day to their home screens.”
The application offers support for Windows Phone 8.1, Windows Phone 8 devices, as well as the older version Windows Phone 7.5.
