AMD has prepared a new FX family processor called the FX-670K , which is an APU of the “ Richland ” family with its GPU disabled.
The new processor has four cores and is based on the “Piledriver” microarchitecture. With the GPU disabled, it is clear that the use of a separate graphics card is necessary.
The FX-670K is clocked at 3.70 GHz and offers overclocking capabilities to its owners.
The FX-670K will only be available from select manufacturers and is not expected to be sold separately, at least initially.
So far, it has been announced that it will be pre-installed on the HP Pavilion 500-266ea computer , which will have an FM2 motherboard with an AMD A75 chipset, a Radeon R7 240 graphics card , and its price will be around $650.
