FlightGear , an open-source flight simulator that supports a variety of popular platforms and is developed by experienced volunteers from around the world, today announced the release of FlightGear v3.0.0 Final .

The goal of the game for older children is to create a sophisticated and open-ended flight simulator framework for use in research or an academic environment, for pilot training, or as a tool for the aviation industry.
