Microsoft announced yesterday that Satya Nadella will be the company's new CEO, with Steve Ballmer retiring but staying on board for the next few years.
One of Nadella's first things as Microsoft CEO was to send a short message on Twitter stating that he really wants to stay in touch with the company's fans who use social media.
"First commitment as CEO: I won't wait 4 years for the next tweet!" because his previous tweet was on July 11, 2010.
As Neowin reports, this tweet alone makes Satya Nadella the most active Microsoft CEO in terms of social media, as Bill Gates did not have a Twitter account when he was CEO, while Steve Ballmer had never posted anything.

Of course, this could also be a way to showcase the company's new image. It remains to be seen whether Satya Nadella will keep his promise.
