A 14-year-old Maine schoolgirl was burned when the iPhone 5C she had in her pocket caught fire, the Portland Press Herald.
“Smoke begins to envelop the student,” said Jeff Rodman, the school’s principal
The girl was forced to take off her pants, while her iPhone was still “slowly burning.”
The girl, whose name has not been released at the request of her mother, suffered second-degree burns. The incident happened on Friday. The unfortunate girl suffered burns to her leg and back, and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Apple has not yet made any statements about the unfortunate incident.
