Microsoft Research engineers have managed to create a groundbreaking technology. Don't imagine computers, tablets, or a new operating system. The groundbreaking technology, this time, concerns smart elevators that will be able to understand where you are going, and will transport you without you having to press a button.
The idea, although it seems complicated, is actually quite simple: the new technology examines your time, history, and previous activities, gives the smart elevator a command and automatically transports you, as Microsoft explains.
“If your environment knows that at lunchtime yesterday you had arranged to have lunch with a colleague on the second floor,” and you get into the elevator, the elevator is “smart enough to take you to your colleague without you giving it a command,” Microsoft Research manager Peter Lee told Bloomberg.
