Microsoft has unveiled the second-generation Surface. The Surface 2 Pro will run on an Intel Haswell chip (the regular model will run on Tegra 4 NVIDIA's and 4GB of RAM). Of course, Microsoft mentioned anything about the processor, it first introduced the new kickstand, which it probably considers a very important achievement. It said that this time the tablet with the new kickstand will be able to stand better, compared to the previous model. Its battery will offer up to 75% more autonomy and will allow it to operate for a whole day, while the performance of the new Surface will be improved by 20%.
The display continues to be 10.6 inches 1080p ClearTypeHD and this time it will have 46% greater color fidelity.
The presentation of two new Surface 2 Pro stole the show. The updated Type Cover 2 , which in addition to the keyboard cover it has, also contains a 30w battery that will give the Surface Pro 2.5 times more autonomy.
Microsoft also presented a fairly practical docking station, containing 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0, network port, mini display port and an audio input-output.
The Surface Pro 2 will cost $899.
