As we get closer to the official RTM release date, Microsoft is releasing more and more leaks to promote its upcoming operating system. A new build (9477) of Windows 8.1 has been leaked online as we await the RTM release that is expected to arrive sometime this month.
As it turns out, Microsoft has made some changes to the home screen, tweaking the icons for Mail and Help & Tips.
The Mail app is expected to have many improvements in Windows 8.1, while the Help & Tips tool is completely new and comes to "teach" us the new Windows features.
Microsoft is expected to unveil Windows 8.1 on October 18th as we reported in a previous post, but those who already have Windows 8 installed will be able to download it for free a day earlier from the Windows Store.
