The now-famous hacktivist group Syrian Electronic Army has hacked the official Facebook accounts and several Twitter accounts of the New York Post . They announced the breach on their website.

Currently, all accounts, except for @newyorkpost, appear to have been recovered and are functioning properly.
The New York Post has not made any statements regarding the incident.

The hackers did not give a specific reason for the New York Post hack, but judging by their past attacks, it's likely that the website published something they didn't like.
