It's no secret that online scammers use any major event to trick unsuspecting users.
This time they've used the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby. The phenomenon hasn't yet become widespread, but it will soon, according to security expert Graham Cluley, who says:
“Unfortunately, it’s almost inevitable. When it comes to such a big news story, scammers take advantage of it.”
The scam was first spotted by Graham Cluley and then Action Fraud, recognising its seriousness, published it via its Twitter account.
“Exclusive photos! – Don’t fall for this Twitter scam… use only reliable news channels as a source of information.”.
