Sony Will Not Appeal Fine Due to PSN Hack

According to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has decided not to appeal the £250,000 fine imposed on the company in January for the PlayStation Network breach in 2011.

This, of course, was unexpected since in January, Sony threatened to appeal the decision, which the company claimed was unfair.

When the decision was made, Sony said that cyberattacks by criminals are an ever-growing threat and the company is constantly working to improve system security.
