Snowden and Assange: Two people who broke with the US and are alive

WikiLeaks said on Tuesday that the first phase of its “Flight of Liberty” campaign for Edward Snowden would begin on Wednesday (today) and promised to provide more details, which it has not done so far. The organization’s promise came via its Twitter account.

The first thing anyone might think upon reading WikiLeaks is that Snowden will finally leave Russia for a destination of his choosing.

Snowden has so far been granted asylum by three different countries, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua, while others have also promised to consider his request.

However, so far there has been no official announcement from Snowden himself that he has been granted asylum in any of these countries.

Many believe that Venezuela is the best solution for Snowden in his attempt to escape prosecution by the US. The scenario of Snowden to Venezuela was also supported by the Russian Foreign Minister, who stated that it is the best solution.

Of course, if Snowden decides that he wants to escape to any of the aforementioned countries, then he will have to find a safe way to reach his destination.

Of course, Snowden 's policy probably adheres to some conditions that will ensure his safety, as much as possible. Snowden worked for the secret services, so he knows firsthand how they work. Meanwhile, in the last month, all the media has been focused on him. This fact alone makes it more difficult for the American secret services to make a clumsy move that would turn public opinion against them and make Snowden a hero.

The fact that Snowden works closely with WikiLeaksis no coincidence. Julian Assange knows the trails very well and even if he has not managed to leave London (he is still in the Ecuadorian embassy), he has managed to avoid arrest or some other much more unpleasant event by the ruthless executors of US decisions.

In what way? They know the recipe best. Publicity by utilizing all available means. Television, Internet, etc. Not to mention the very information that the two activists hold in their hands.

Who knows, maybe some of them are so important to the US that they don't dare touch them.

But these are scenarios that only time can clarify. The US has shown, on the other hand (remember the case of Osama Bin Laden), that no matter how much time passes, the goal will be achieved.
