Are you thinking about starting a career in cybersecurity? Now is the perfect time to do so. According to a study conducted by CyberCoders, the demand for cybersecurity jobs has increased dramatically.
After analyzing more than 450,000 job postings from 2009 to 2013, experts found that the number of cybersecurity job openings has increased by more than 100% in the past year. They also estimate that demand will continue to grow by 30% in 2014.
In terms of salaries, workers in the cybersecurity field can expect to make between $80,000 and $180,000 (The survey was not conducted in Greece, obviously).
“Market demand for cybersecurity positions continues to soar,” noted Heidi Golledge, CEO and founder of CyberCoders.
“ CyberCoders sees a rapid increase each year in the number of job openings in this category, and we expect the same growth in the near future. Now cybersecurity extends far beyond the public sector to almost every company with an online presence.”
