Just last fall, Apple announced the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and has already started facing competition from the likes of Google's Chromebook Pixel, and now Samsung is getting in on the action.
Yesterday, Samsung announced that it is making a 13-inch display with a higher ppi for both the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and the Chromebook Pixel.
The 13-inch QHD display has a resolution of 3200 x 1800, with a ppi of 276. In comparison, the Retina MacBook Pro display has 227 ppi and the Chromebook Pixel display has 239.
However, according to The Verge, there are others preparing to enter the market such as Sharp with its IGZO displays as well as Toshiba with a 13.3-inch with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
