Hackers are always looking for ways to steal your username and password for various accounts, especially if those accounts contain banking information. That's why it's no surprise that a new round of phishing has begun, with hackers doing everything they can to steal your Apple ID.
“Phishers have turned their attention to a relatively new target, the Apple ID,” according to Trend Micro. “In recent days, we have seen a significant increase in phishing sites attempting to steal Apple IDs.”
According to Trend Micro, hackers are hacking other websites and adding fake login pages to them, asking users to enter their Apple ID login details. So far, 110 compromised websites have been discovered, and while many of them are now clean, there are still some that haven't been notified.
So, the next time you're asked to enter your Apple ID login details, first make sure you're actually on an Apple website and not some other one.
