Microsoft has already announced 8 April will , 2014 be the retirement date for Windows XP and is recommending that its customers who are still using it switch to Windows 7 or Windows 8 before that date.
The Federal Office German for Information Security (BSI) has issued a statement suggesting other solutions. First, it tries to present the risks of continuing to use Windows XP after the deadline set by Microsoft , and then it recommends that all Germans with XP upgrade to a newer version of Windows or use Linux!
Disappointed with Microsoft's decision to stop providing updates and security for the Windows XP, many users have expressed their intention to abandon Windows altogether and embrace systems open source operating.
