Youth Online Safety: "I surf, I don't take risks"
The issue of safe browsing on the internet was at the center of the event organized by «The Child's Smile» and Microsoft Greece.
For second consecutive year, we joined forces with Microsoft Greece, organizing on Thursday, February 16 a meeting titled «Youth Online Safety: I surf, I don’t risk» and with the main focus on the issue of safe browsing on the Internet.
The discussion was coordinated by journalists Ilias Papacharalambous and Androniki Kolovou.
The protagonists of the event were secondary education students, with the aim, on the one hand, to be informed about the traps that lurk on the internet, and on the other hand, to share their own experiences and concerns on the subject. Specifically, children participated from the Pieramatic High School of Anavryton, the 9th High School of Piraia, the High School of the Blind and Deaf of St. Paraskevis, Saint Lawrence High School, the 4th High School of Dafnis, the private tutoring centers of Augoulea – Linardatou, and the 3rd High School of Zografou.
Simultaneously, students from the Gymnasium – Kampani High School, Kilkis, the EPAL Eleftherios Venizelos of Chania and the General High School of Larissa, leveraging Microsoft technology, were able to watch the event live, and also to intervene, expressing their objections and comments.
The discussion was followed via live streaming by other schools from all over Greece as well as our partners abroad, who were able to send their observations and questions.

The discussion was broadcast live by the 1ststudent radio, European School Radio, via the page https://blogs.sch.gr/esrblog, while from Wednesday, February 22 , at www.microsoftlive.gr/youthonlinesafety you will be able to watch the video of the event online.
