Petition to Barack Obama to make DDoS a legal form of protest

white house

A petition addressed to United States President Barack Obama is posted on the official White House website and states:

Report to the Obama administration:

Allow Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) to be a legitimate form of protest.
With the advancement of technology on the internet, comes a new kind of protest. Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) is not a form of hacking in any way. It is the same as repeatedly clicking the refresh button on a website. In that way, it is no different from any “squat” protest. Instead of a group standing outside a building and occupying the space, the same thing happens with computers taking over a website to slow it down or prevent it from functioning for a short period of time.

As part of this report, those who have been imprisoned for DDoS attacks should be released and their criminal records should be cleared.
