Woman falls into deep lake while following GPS directions
The 23-year-old heroine of the story, who suffers from excessive dependence on technology, found herself stranded with her car in the icy waters of a lake in Canada... and Yes! It's true!
According to the Toronto Sun, the woman followed her GPS-suggested route while driving her car late at night on dark Ontario roads with reduced visibility due to fog, and ended up at the boat launch at Little Tub Harbor. Given the heavy rain and reduced visibility, the 23-year-old driver from Canada continued straight onto Lake Huron, following her GPS instructions.

Although the car was completely destroyed by the impact in the icy waters, the woman managed to escape through the window, grab her bag and surface before the car completely submerged, according to the report from police authorities.
The car was eventually removed from the scene, and the woman was given the necessary first aid, even though she had no injuries, nor was she even suffering from hypothermia despite the four degrees Celsius of the icy lake water.
