The Finnish company announced that it has moved forward with its plans to re-enter the smartphone market. However, Suri said that the company is not working to a deadline and there is no rush. “It could happen in 2016, it could happen later,” he said.
The company exited the market dramatically, selling its smartphone division to Microsoft for $7.2 billion. Now, the company is looking to re-enter the game by leveraging a clause in the sales agreement that allows Nokia to use its brand on mobile phones again, starting in 2016.
Back in 2015, Nokia had confirmed its comeback plans: “Brand recognition is still very high in all major markets,” Suri said. “We think it’s a good business model.”
Suri confirmed that if the company finds the right partner for the next batch of smartphones, he would be happy to move forward with it. Nokia has been aiming to find a partner since the end of 2015, but Suri isn't worried about that at all. "We're in no rush," he said.

“We don’t just want to put logos on someone’s devices,” Suri said. “We want users to feel the Nokia they’ve known for so many years.”.
The company also aims to build 5G mobile networks and become the leader of the next wave of connectivity.
So let's see..
