Can a broken Android become a toy robot? Of course!

Tired of holding your broken Android phone as a paperweight? Try this!

Smartphone notoriously difficult to repair and can sometimes end up destroying the device rather than addressing the hardware issue that originally arose. That's what happened to an Android smartphone owner who also owns a YouTube channel, ElectroBOOM. His smartphone's power management circuit exploded, rendering his phone completely useless, at least until he decided there might be another use for it after all.

Thanks to the combined efforts of ElectroBOOM and his daughter, they managed to salvage the parts of the device that were still working in various ways. What were they able to create, after combining all the pieces? An adorable robot toy whose main body includes only the head of a toothbrush.

Here's how the talented duo was able to turn a broken Android phone into a toy robot: by taking the phone's vibration module, a coin-cell battery, a switch, and a bit of wire, they placed them on top of the toothbrush head. Turning the switch on causes the device to vibrate, which causes the toothbrush head to move in circles.

While it may not be the most sophisticated of creations that can be made from a broken Android phone, it's better than having a device that would just sit there and be turned off all the time with no use for a paperweight, or turn into trash after being thrown in the trash. Check out the video below that was posted showing how ElectroBOOM and his daughter were able to make this creation.
