The Bitcoin trading company, BTCC emerges victorious from the battle with DDoS Attackers… Like A Boss!

The BITCOIN-FOR-DDOS EXTORTION SCHEME added another victim to its list, and it is none other than the company BTCC — However, the hacker was unlucky this time, as the company had taken advanced protective measures against DDOS attacks.
On December 31, the first of a series of DDoS attacks on BTCC, a new Bitcoin trader, took place, according to a report by Crypto Currency News. After the attack ended, the company received a ransom email from an anonymous source.
The company also received a threat that the attacks would continue against it if it refused to pay 1 Bitcoin (equivalent to $425) for ransom.
On January 1st, 2016, DDoS attacks continued, and this time a 10 Gbps attack occurred. Such a large attack was not expected from the DDoS mitigation service, but nevertheless, BTCC acted swiftly and implemented a better protection plan, according to the Reddit post.
The second attack was followed by a rise in the ransom price from the hacker's side, who now demanded 10 Bitcoin ($4250 dollars). The company, however, decided to reinvest in more advanced and well-protected servers rather than pay the ransom.
As a result, BTCC's service lost part of its functionality, and received a new email from the aspiring hacker. The note read:
“We will keep these attacks up until you pay! The price is now 30 BTC. You had better pay up before you go bankrupt! Mwa ha ha!
”
The Bitcoin trading company continued to upgrade its servers and ignore the hacker's requests.
The attacks continue, but so far no BTCC operations have been disrupted or crashed.

The attacker finally accepted his defeat and sent the following email:
[Look guys, I'm actually a good person. I wouldn't want to leave you without a job. How about we finally agree on 0.5 BTC?]
And this email was also ignored by the BTCC. The complete indifference from the company's side led the hacker to send his last message :
“Honestly’ , don’t you even speak English?”. and so the blackmailing stopped.
