Residents of southern Europe are proving to be less careful with their mobile phones
In the last two years, residents of the Mediterranean countries - with Greeks leading the way - have been forced to replace or repair their damaged smartphones , with approximately 40% of owners having to pay for them, according to research data from Square Trade, which specializes in providing electronic device protection contracts.
The pan-European survey conducted by the company over two years ranks Greeks (40%), Italians (39.8%) and Spaniards (38.9%) as the most vulnerable, followed by Norwegians (37.8%), British (37.2%) and Irish (37%).
On the other hand, the most careful among the 18 European countries that participated in the study are the Belgians and the Poles, as less than 25% of smartphone owners had to replace their damaged phones.
