A few days ago, the internet was abuzz with reports that a hacker had compromised the account of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto , threatening to reveal his real identity behind the pseudonym. Since then, however, there has been complete silence on the matter.
Not only was the hacker identified after the breach, but Nakamoto's identity still remains a secret. But the compromised email account disappeared when GMX decided to intervene in the matter.
GMX declined to discuss specific details about the closure of Nakamoto's email account, which is due to its internal policy of not releasing information to third parties about any of its customers.
GMX also confirmed that once an account is canceled, all content is deleted with it. Emails sent to satoshin@gmx.com are not delivered.
