More than 1,600 Swedish consumers have signed an agreement that allows them to make purchases with a simple wave of their open palm, but not… standing up, as would possibly be done in Greece… New technology has managed to bypass credit cards and make scanning the palm sufficient to make purchases. These are new machines that “read” the lines from the veins and have already met with great success in the city of Lund in Sweden.
The special scanners have been installed in 15 stores and restaurants. The idea for this original payment method belongs to a young mechanical engineering student who thought of creating these machines when about two years ago, he was forced to wait in line at a store for an hour, just to pay, as he explains.
