At the end of last November, Marissa Mayer announced Yahoo 's intention to encrypt all data moving through its data centers to protect its users' data.
The deadline was set for the end of March 2014 and the company has already made the first announcement regarding the mandatory use of secure HTTPS connections for all Yahoo Mail users .
The announcement was made again by Meyer herself, during her speech at the CES show in Las Vegas.
All Yahoo Mail users, whether connecting to the Web interface from a desktop operating system or mobile apps , or via any protocol, will be routed via an HTTPS connection, with 2,048- bit encryption .
