Intel retires all McAfee SaaS Email Security products

Intel McAfeeLate last week, Intel announced its plans to stop selling its McAfee SaaS (Security-as-a-Service) email security products, setting an EOL for a number of services.

The products affected are McAfee 's Email Archiving, Email Encryption, Email Protection & Continuity .

The company's plans call for it to stop allowing new customers to order and purchase products starting January 11, 2016, but will allow existing users to renew their existing subscriptions until January 11, 2019.

Depending on the number of customers for each service, Intel does not rule out the possibility of extending support for the services until 2021, however the company advises that webmasters should switch to other solutions in the meantime.

The company recommends Proofprint 's service as an alternative solution, and this resulted in an 18% increase in sales for this company after the announcement of this collaboration!

“We are working to create a comprehensive system that will provide faster protection, detection and remediation. To create this security system, we are investing in solutions for endpoint, cloud, threat detection and management that will ensure the security of the endpoint, the cloud and all the data that will pass through them,” Intel, justifying its recent decision. “Our increased investments in these critical areas require the end of our collaboration with some other product areas, such as McAfee .”

The company also promises to release a series of instructions to help its customers migrate their current services to Proofprint.
