The notorious hacker group Anonymous has revealed the next phase of its ongoing war against ISIS. The group invites you and security agencies to take down websites that support the extremist group and continue to “troll” them.
The mass uprising, which is expected to have thousands of supporters, is scheduled for this Friday!
Anonymous posted a message on the Ghostbin forum asking everyone to stand up to ISIS on Friday, December 11. The group is asking for everyone's help in trolling the terrorist group. The group is calling on people to upload mocking photos of ISIS on social media using the hashtags #Daesh and #Daeshbags, an obvious pun on the group's alternate name and the word douchebags.
Following the terrorist attacks in Paris, Anonymous declared war on the Islamic State and has already taken down around 100 propaganda websites and over 25,000 social media accounts belonging to jihadists.
In a recent interview, a member of Anonymous stated: “You might all be wondering why we are trolling ISIS like this and why we are organizing this whole campaign against them. To understand this, you have to first see how the terrorist group operates. They use fear to and hope that with their actions they can silence us and keep us silent in fear. But what they forget is that their enemies are more than just them.”
Anonymous added that “We will make fun of them for how stupid they are. We will show them what they really are. They do not support a religion or a God, they are brainwashed from a young age and are heavily propaganda against the West when in reality they themselves are increasing the distance between countries.
