The first bank ATM that identifies the user based on biometric data has appeared in China.
Tsinghua University and Tzekwan have collaborated to create the world's first ATM with facial scanning technology, which allows money to be withdrawn only if the user's face matches the photos registered in their account.
When the customer approaches the ATM, the camera built into the screen scans their face and compares biological characteristics such as the distances between the eyes, nose and mouth. This means that the result is not affected if the customer wears glasses or changes their hairstyle.
