Adobe has relaunched software dating back to 2012, and now it's changing the way it handles forms and documents .
The company just announced Document Cloud: “a modern way” to work with files at home, in the office, and on the go. Combining key features from across apps, Document Cloud (DC) includes the redesigned Acrobat DC for PDF. Plus, a new easy-to-use scan feature will let you take an image and turn it into an editable PDF, where you can make changes to both the text and any image. Adobe’s EchoSign tools have also been integrated, so filling out and adding your signature to forms is an easy task whether on the desktop or on a mobile device. On the mobile side, new apps like Acrobat Mobile and Fill & Sign ensure you can pick up where you left off.
As for pricing, Creative Cloud subscribers can expect access to Document Cloud as part of their existing plan. Marketing Cloud customers should expect Document Cloud to work well with that service (it's mostly focused around document management), and the e-sign tools work with Experience Manager for form filling on web and mobile sites. If you want a standalone option, it'll cost you $15 per month.
