How addicted are we to social networks?

social networksCurrently, there are several social networks, each with its own fanatical audience, with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest dominating.

The excessive use of social networks has led to abuse and addiction, causing their members to use them daily, and even multiple times in the same day.

There are cases of addiction, with social media users afraid of missing a tweet, status update, or photo from their friends (or those they "follow"), and this causes them to waste several hours a day on them.

The “Quit Facebook Day” page appeared about 5 years ago, long before Facebook gained this momentum and even before smartphones and access to social networks via 3G became so popular, at least in our country.

However, some people don't understand the reasons why they should take a break from social media. Sure, deleting their profile on them is a bit... "heavy", but a break would be a good move.

And why would such a move to pause from social networks be right?

Logout, the act that seems unthinkable to addicted social media users.

First of all, according to measurements, if a user visits their favorite social network for 5 minutes every hour, for “just” 8 hours a day, at the end of the year, this corresponds to 7.2 days.

Facebook, more so than other social networks, monitors. They know the movements of their users and can draw conclusions about us, with the ultimate goal of displaying relevant ads.

Also, no one can know to what extent the information shared by users on social networks remains private, while the psychological test on Facebook members without their knowledge proves exactly this.

At the same time, it must be understood that real life is “out there” and not in the world of the Internet.
