The popular messaging app WhatsApp has finally taken the big step, after thousands of fans demanded it, to make the platform available for computers, via the web. The WhatsApp is a web server, which means that there is no special program to download to the computer.
The user simply needs to visit the application's web page (only via Chrome), and scan the QR code via the application on the smartphone, in order to log in to the service.
The unusual method is used to identify the user, as WhatsApp uses the phone number instead of the username/password. Conversations will continue to be recorded on the phone, and the smartphone running the app must remain connected to the internet.
For this to work, we must have the latest version of the application. After downloading it, we open the application and select “WhatsApp Web” from the menu. Then we enter the application page via Chrome and scan the code that will appear.
