Fewer than 50 Apple 1s currently exist worldwide. However, the computer fetched $365,000 at Christie's, despite initial estimates of its final price being between $400,000 and $600,000.
In October, the Henry Ford Foundation paid $905,000 for a similar machine.
At the time when Apple's founders built the computer that became known as the Apple1, its price was $666.66.
In fact, to finance its construction, Steve Jobs sold a VW van, while Wozniak sold a calculator for $500.
