Microsoft has already announced that it will not release new updates for Windows 10TPas part of the Windows Insider program, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the company isn't willing to fix bugs and other issues that have arisen in the new operating system.
During the week, the company released a patch for Windows 10 TP, version 9879, which resolves certain issues in File Explorer, as well as crashes caused by this operating system.
As with all updates, this new patchis being sent to users via Windows Update. Keep in mind that Windows 10TP has two different ways to update. One is for patches and updates and is the same as the classic Windows Update, and the other is for installing new builds as part of the Windows Insider Program. The new patch requires a reboot to complete its installation.
The next full update for Windows 10TP is scheduled for January 2015, where Microsoft may also release the first commercial version as a preview, as is to be announced and we have mentioned in other articles about what this version will include.
