It was expected that we would have more revelations about the attack on Sony Pictures by the #GOP group, which continues to leak data stolen from the company's servers, following the unreleased films that thousands of users downloaded from various torrent sites.
The aftermath includes the leak of 30,000 documents including 47,000+ social security numbers from current and former Sony (with the Wall Street Journal reporting that of Sylvester Stallone), addresses, contracts, and pay.
Sony has asked for the FBI's help to deal with the situation, but it probably wentuge its own eyes out, as it was revealed that several employees were using at least "funny" passwords, such as s0ny123, password, etc., while a folder named "Passwords" was also found that includes a document password.doc with the employees' passwords and credit card numbers!
As we mentioned in a previous post, suspicions are falling on North Korea as being responsible for the attack, due to the upcoming screening of the film The Interview, but a representative for the country categorically denied the scenarios, saying that his country has publicly stated that it prohibits any kind of hacking or piracy practice.
