A five-year-old boy from Coventry, England, has become the world's youngest computer expert. Ayan Qureshi, as he is called, is now a Microsoft Certified Professional after passing the tech giant's exams when he was just five years old. Now six, he has set up his own computer network at home.
The boy's father is an IT consultant for companies and they moved from Pakistan to England in 2009.
The little boy said that the exams were difficult but he enjoyed it and wants to someday create his own network of companies based in the United Kingdom.
There were multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks, putting sentences in the correct order, and scenario-based questions, and the most difficult part was explaining the words to a five-year-old.
The little boy's father first introduced him to computers when he was three years old, letting him play with his old computers, which is when he began to understand what a hard drive and motherboard were. Speaking to the BBC, his father said that when he began to realize that everything he told him, he remembered it the next day, then he started giving him more information.
Ayan has his own computer lab at home, which contains a network of computers that he built himself. He spends about two hours a day learning about the operating system and how to install programs.
When he went to sit for the exam, the people in charge had doubts about whether he would be able to pass, as he was the youngest candidate to have taken the exam aimed at those who want to become technicians.
The little guy finally succeeded and in the future wants to create E-Valley in England, the equivalent of America's Silicon Valley.
