Facebook has announced that it is increasing the prize money for the winners of the 2015 Internet Defense Prize, with the total amount reaching $300,000.
The first winners of the Internet Defense Prize were two German researchers, Johannes Dahse and Thorsten Holz, from the University of Bochum, who discovered malware on servers and received the sum of 50 thousand dollars.
This amount of money was mainly for research to address these malware, with Facebook now considering addressing such "risks" quite important and for this reason is increasing the prize money so that more and more security researchers can work on security.
