If restaurant has received a one-star review on Yelp, you can either improve your food and customer service and hope people notice, or you can go after the reviewer who gave the rating and send them a series of abusive text messages. Ninja City Kitchen & Bar recently chose the latter option.
Last month, Ruchu Tan ate at Ninja City, and left a negative review on Yelp for the Asian restaurant located in Cleveland.
But it seems that the restaurant's chef, Nguyen, is not one to take negative reviews, as he did not let Tan "go unpunished" after sending him text messages with abusive content.
Nguyen, however, appears to have apologized for his messages to Tan. However, even after the apology, Ninja City continued to tag Tan in social media, promoting the restaurant.
There is currently a Facebook group dedicated to boycotting Ninja City and Nguyen's other restaurant, BAC, on the grounds that the chef's actions are "damaging the perception of Cleveland Country.".
