London
The Queen of England passed a technological milestone on Friday - sending the first royal tweet to mark the opening of a new exhibition at London's Science Museum. Instead of unveiling a plaque for the new exhibition, The Information Age, the Queen pressed a button on the surface of a tablet to send the message. "It is my pleasure to open the exhibition The Information Age at the @ScienceMuseum and I think people will be happy to visit it," he wrote on the royal family's account @BritishMonarchy.During her reign, Elizabeth saw the world radically change thanks to a series of technological innovations - from color television to mobile phones and the Internet.
She was even the first monarch to use email, sending an electronic message during her visit to a military base in 1976.
During a visit to Google's offices in London in 2008, she uploaded a video of herself to YouTube.
