Did you know that:
- Hiding your phone number does not apply when sending text or multimedia messages (SMS, MMS).
- If you have reasonable suspicion that a virus has been installed on your phone, you can get rid of it by "resetting the device to factory settings.".
- If you want to avoid using GPS, you can save the maps you will need beforehand.
- You may still be logged in, even after you close your browser, so don't forget to log out, especially if you used a shared computer (your work computer is shared).
Users and subscribers can find on the Authority's web portal, https://www.adae.gr/enimerosi-christon-kai-syndromiton, many sources of information regarding cyberspace risks and practical instructions for avoiding them.
Users can also download ADAE's new information leaflet on the protection of communications privacy, filing complaints and avoiding malicious calls https://www.adae.gr/fileadmin/cybersecurity/index.html. The printed version of the leaflet will be distributed on Sunday, October 26, 2014 and is available to anyone interested.
On the ADAE website, users of electronic communication services and postal services can easily search for information on the subject of security and ways to protect themselves from threats. This information hub gathers links to information material that has been posted on the internet by many bodies such as Ministries, organizations, independent authorities and providers of electronic communications and postal services.
ADAE participates in the European Cybersecurity Month coordinated by ENISA, the European Agency for Network and Information Security.
