Microsoft has announced the release of the so-called “Universal Mobile Keyboard,” a wireless keyboard that works with almost every tablet on the market.
Redmond already has its own keyboard, exclusively for Surface devices, but the new device can be used with any Windows, iOS , or Android tablet, as it connects via Bluetooth and comes with a built-in stand.
And while it may sound a little strange for Apple fans to use a Microsoft keyboard, there's no doubt that such an accessory would be really practical, especially for those who can't comfortably use the virtual keyboard that appears on the screen.
Microsoft tried to make the keyboard useful for both iOS and Android devices, which is why it comes with a “cmd” key, which is offered on all Apple keyboards, as well as a home button for Android.
Since it is designed to work with all tablets on the market, Microsoft did not place a Windows logo on the keyboard, and on its official website it states that it is designed for the iPhone and iPad, just like any other certified Apple product.
