Researchers from Trusteer have discovered a new Banking Trojan dubbed “Kronos” which is being sold on Underground forums.
The malware is being sold for $7,000, and cybercriminals are offering a week-long trial for $1,000 with full access to the C&C server, without any restrictions.
Similar to other banking Trojans, this new malwareis also capable of HTML Injection and form collection.
Kronos has rootkit (Ring3) user mode capabilities that will help this trojan defend itself from other malware and it runs on both 32bit and 64bit operating systems.
It is also designed to evade antivirus software and bypass the Sandbox. The malware uses encryption to connect to the C&C server.
Trusteer stated that it has not yet analyzed the malware sample to confirm its properties, all information provided is based on advertising on the underground forum.
