Given that bank customers continue to receive misleading messages via email, the Hellenic Banks Association and its member banks
... in parallel with the security measures that the banks themselves are taking, remind again and recommend to all Electronic Banking customers the following:
-Never reveal your personal passwords to anyone. If you suspect that your password has been leaked, contact your Bank immediately.
-Ignore "suspicious" e-mails that ask for your personal information (account number, secret personal codes, name, etc.) or contain links to "unknown" websites. Banks will never ask for your personal information via e-mail or telephone. For this reason, delete these e-mails as fake and ignore any possible phone calls.
-Make sure you are at the correct address of your bank. Never connect to your bank's website via an external link provided to you by a third party, especially via e-mail. Make sure that the "padlock" icon appears on your Bank's Online Banking website, through which you can double-click to open it, confirming that you are in the secure environment of your Bank.
-Set your computer's operating system and antivirus program to update automatically. If you don't know how to do this, consult your computer vendor.
