In a few days we will close a month since the integration of iGuRu.gr into the SecNews site. Essentially we can say that the merger of the two websites has been completed, except perhaps for some details that are not and will not be visible on the screens of our visitors. 
We would like to share with our reader friends – all of you who have supported us all these years some changes that have been made during this period, as well as some that will be made in the future.

- Transfer of all iGuRu.gr publications to the SecNews database .
- Insertion of code for the automatic redirect from Google results that appear below the domain secnews.gr to the corresponding Secnews post after merging the databases.
- Cleaning old and installing new plugins.

- Cleaning the database from tables that were not used.
- Cleaning the tags, by deleting words that do more harm than good (see the, those, is, you and many others).
- Implementation of some automations that make the life of editors easier.
- Implementation of the theme used by iGuRu.gr on SecNews data.
- Adding SecNews to Facebook Instant Articles
- Addition for changing font size in articles.
- Settings for sharing administrative accounts.
- Redirect of secnews.gr to secnews.gr.
- All emails under @secnews.gr continue to work after new settings.
- Creation of a new widgetized /about page.
- New .htaccess in /
- Many custom functions in functions.php for additional features and greater speed in page loading.
- Addition of Instant Articles for a better user experience from the Facebook page
- Continuation of work for a better rank on gtmetrix.com

Naturally, the list of tasks that need to be done for optimizing the page and the experience you, the friendly users, experience is extensive.
One of the main topics that concerns us right now, besides your daily updates, is the stabilization of the CDN.
Changes such as improving the loading time of the page and its speed are issues that will be discussed and we will make sure they are resolved immediately afterwards.
