Yahoo yesterday that data moving between its data centers has been fully encrypted since March 31.
This initiative aims to better protect user data, especially after the revelations that came to light regarding the NSA's efforts to breach connections between data centers, where communications were unencrypted.
As is evident, Yahoo is trying to effectively secure user data by implementing more and more security measures
In January, the company made HTTPS the default for all Yahoo Mail users, making the service more secure. In addition, last month it began using encryption on data exchanged between the company's servers and other email providers that support the SMTPTLS standard.
