Microsoft recently confirmed that its free security software “Malicious Software Removal Tool” will continue to be available to Windows XP users, even after the thirteen-year-old operating system ends support.
Malicious Software Removal Tool is an anti-malware application that provides users with a quick way to get rid of specific forms of malware.
According to an official announcement from the company, the popular security tool will continue to be available until July 14, 2015.
However, the company emphasized that the effectiveness of anti-malware for operating systems that are out of support is limited, as it is practically impossible to keep a system completely secure that is not supported.
