Bose 's new Lifestyle collection includes three different models, one of which is an impressive rival to the Sonos Era 100. The $299 Lifestyle Ultra Speaker is essentially Bose's take on the Sonos Era 100. It's available in black or white from Amazon, Best Buy, and Bose itself, while there's also a beige version priced at $349 , which is currently exclusive to Bose's online store.

The smart speaker offers a forward-firing woofer and tweeter and, unlike the Era 100, also features an upward-firing driver. Like the Sonos Era 100, the Lifestyle Ultra Speaker supports both Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect, while the addition of Google Cast provides an additional way to stream audio from compatible apps.

It can also be paired with compatible non-Bose speakers via AirPlay and Google Cast for multi-room music playback, and it's the first third-party speaker to support Amazon's Alexa Plus, which is powered by generative AI technology. For home theater enthusiasts, Bose also introduced the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, which supports Dolby Atmos and is now available from Amazon, Best Buy, and Bose.
