Apple has removed the “Coinbase” app from its online store, without stating the reasons for this decision.
Coinbase is a digital wallet (Bitcoin wallet) that allows users to trade bitcoins. Users can buy, use, and securely store their digital currencies. The app can also be used to send bitcoins via email, QR code, or NFC.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said about the incident:
"We do not know for sure why the app was removed from the App Store and have reached out to Apple requesting further clarification."
The app is still available on Google Play, for Android devices.
