Kwikset theleading manufacturer of smart locks, today announced the integration of CarPlay into the Kwikset app, allowing iPhone owners to lock or unlock their Kwikset Smart Locks directly from their car’s dashboard. This new feature works with Kwikset Smart Locks controlled through the Kwikset app, allowing access without the need to open the app on the iPhone.

When vehicle owners arrive home or leave, they can use CarPlay to lock or unlock their home doors. When an iPhone is connected to CarPlay, the Kwikset app appears alongside other third‑party apps, allowing users to select their home and lock or unlock their home door with a single tap.
Kwikset's new CarPlay functionality is designed for Kwikset Smart Locks including Halo Touch, Halo Keypad, Halo Touchscreen, Halo Select and Halo Select Plus. This feature does not work with Kwikset Halos set to Matter.

Kwikset is also adding the same integration for Android Auto. This development offers users greater convenience and security, as they can manage their locks without having to get out of the car or use their phone.
